Holiday in Spain

Ever been holidaying in Spain? Have you thought of traveling to Spain sometime soon? Do you always go to Spain for your annual holiday? You might be surprised to know that many people from the United Kingdom travel more and more to Spain. Spain has become a popular holiday destination in spite of there being more places as holiday spots and that too at more affordable rates. This article speaks of why Spain has become so popular with the British.

A recent study has highlighted the fact that more and more British people are returning to Spain more than just once a year. A middle aged lady, about 50 years of age was asked how many times she had been to Spain for a holiday.  The answer was a shocking “twelve”. Another man of forty years of age said “eight”.

With the growth of budget airline, one might think why other destinations are not given preference. Some of course do but on the other hand, some don’t. What is the reason behind the popularity with Spain?

The food is one of the major attractions for the British. In fact, there are many British themed restaurants where people can sit back, gulp down British beer and watch the English Premier League. There are plenty of resorts to choose from but that is not what sets it apart from the others. Actually traveling to Spain is quite cheap and since the journey is not too long, it is suitable by the older generation who like to travel with their family and children.

Spain is similar to the United Kingdom in many ways but Spain is a lot warmer. A warmer switch from the chilling winters of the United Kingdom is always welcome. These are some of the factors that have made Spain a popular destination with the Brits.
